For over thirty years, Emilio Kallas has led his company following a few simple words, "Nunca pare de aprender" (Never stop learning). Mr. Kallas is chairman of Kallas Incorporações e Construções S.A and KAM. He also serves as head of the KAM Investment Committee and Board of Directors. He has 44 years of experience in the development and construction of residential and commercial buildings in the Brazilian real estate market. Under his watch, Kallas SA has delivered over 20,000 units on 7.5 million square meters and served over 70,000 families. Mr. Kallas obtained his B.Sc., M.S., and Ph.D. in Urban and Civil Engineering from Escola Politécnica. For over 20 years, Mr. Kallas has been a visiting professor in Civil Engineering at the Civil Engineering School in Escola Politécnica – USP. Mr. Kallas is also Vice-President of Development and Urban Lots at SECOVI-SP (The Real Estate & Housing Company Union of the City of São Paulo).
Mr. Kallas guides the Strategic Direction of KAM. He has over 13 years of real estate development and construction experience as COO of Kallas Incorporações e Construções S.A. At Kallas SA, he manages all development, engineering, acquisition, viability studies and product launches. He is also chairman of Kallas Sales, the brokerage arm of Kallas S.A and Kazzas, the affordable income development arm. Under his watch, Kallas SA has produced record profits and a average IRR well over 20%. He is a graduate of Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering. He earned his M.S. in Business Economics from Fundacao Getulio Vargas, and an M.B.A from Yale University.
Mr. Wilkens is Managing Director of Relationships and Marketing for KAM. He has over 16 years of experience in institutional risk management and sales. Prior to Kallas, he was a fixed income trader at Goldman Sachs, where he managed a multi-billion dollar balance sheet in short term interest rates. He also co-founded Vine Street, an investment management and trading firm and Blue Ivy Ventures; a Yale University alumni venture capital firm that support's the Yale entrepreneurial community. He is a Series 3, 7 & 63 license holder with FINRA and has a B.A. in Political Science and Business Administration from the University of Arizona and an M.B.A from Yale University.
Mr. Gaino is Senior Director of Acquisitions. He has over 19 years of real estate experience and is tasked with identifying acquisitions targets throughout every sector of the property market, from low-income to high-income. He is also Director of Kallas Sales, the Kallas brokerage firm. Prior to Kallas, he worked with Lopes Real Estate Consulting for 12 years and spent 6 years as an associate director and manager of business units for the city of Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro. He has also worked for companies, Klabin Segall, Eletrenge and Tecno–Seg in their construction arms. He is a graduate of Faculdade de Engenharia Industrial (FEI) with a B.Sc in Civil Engineering. He has an M.S. in Real Estate from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) and an M.B.A from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
Ms. Tau is Director of Project Management. She co-manages the unit with Tatiana Isikawa. Ms. Tau has 7 years of real estate experience. Her responsibilities include product development, sales tracking, viability studies, architectural oversight and project approvals. Ms. Tau specializes in the study and research of the property market and is primarily responsible for developing product sales tracking and ensuring the viability of each project. She recently led the development of a shopping center and a new hotel in Pindamonhangaba, Brazil. At Kallas, she launched more than 3,000 residential and commercial units. Ms. Tau graduated from Mackenzie University with a B.Arch. in Architecture and Urbanism. She received her M.S in Management of Real Estate Business from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing.
Ms. Isikawa is Director of Project Management. She co-manages the unit with Andressa Tau. She has 7 years of real estate experience. Her responsibilities include product development, sales tracking, viability studies, and architectural oversight. She recently lead the development and construction of the Marriott Porto Maravilha hotel in Rio de Janeiro. At Kallas, she has launched more than 3000 residential and commercial units. She is a graduate of Mackenzie University with a B.Arch. in Architecture and Urbanism. She received her M.S. in Management of Real Estate Business from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing.
Ms. Yoshimura is a Vice President in Acquisitions. She has 6 years of real estate experience. She works closely with the project managers to identify new development prospects and conducts intensive due diligence on their viability. She specializes in navigating government regulations and has helped launch more than 2,000 residential units. Her knowledge of the applicable rules and regulations was key in connection with a number of land acquisitions. She holds a B.Arch. in Architecture and Urbanism from the University Center Fine Arts in São Paulo.
Ms. Manoel is an Associate in Project Management. She coordinates the initial stages of project development, approvals and coordination of residential, corporate and industrial projects. She also specializes in affordable housing and has participated in more than 80,000 m2 of built area. Ms. Manoel has her B.Arch in Architecture and Urbanism from Mackenzie University and a M.S in project management and construction from the University of São Paulo.
Mr. Tacla is a Vice President in Acquisitions. He has 12 years of Real Estate experience and spent the last two responsible for operations in the interior of São Paulo of LPS Brazil, a leading market intermediary. At KAM, Mr. Tacla is responsible for the identification and acquisition of land opportunities, conducting financial feasibility analyzes, management of technical and legal diligence. He received his B.A in Business Administration from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in São Paulo.
